Description

Six 1-hour workshops based on the 2015 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the PA Guidelines for Americans. Each workshop includes a lesson plan, learning objectives, talking points, hands-on activities, videos, and handouts. For community educators, health promoters, dietitians/ nutritionists, cooperative extension agents, and others to teach to adults in a wide variety of community settings.

Workshops can be offered singly. Optimally, the workshops can be offered as a series of 6, or you can select the particular workshop(s) that would best fit the needs of your audience. Free curriculum download from website.

Update:

The Eat Healthy, Be Active (EHBA) Community Workshops have been removed from health.gov as the content is no longer up to date.  These six community workshops are based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2015–2020, and the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.
LIAs can continue to use this curriculum through the rest of FFY 24.  We will provide updates regarding the use of EHBA for FFY 25 as we receive them.  Please reach out to your SIA representative for additional support and clarification.

Body Connection

Body Connection is a collection of short mindful movement lessons designed to build a foundation for intrinsically-motivated movement and healthy habits. The 30 minute lessons are designed to be a warm up or break during nutrition interventions. They also serve to regulate the body before or between cognitive activities like nutrition education workshops.

The Body Connection materials will be available soon. In the meantime, we recommend visiting our training calendar for upcoming trainings. You can also explore more details about the curriculum on the Leah's Pantry website.

This is a physical activity curriculum that should be implemented in addition to a nutrition component or a food tasting.
