Join us for an exciting and informative CATCH Early Childhood (CEC) program training session, open to all CFHL staff who want to become implementers and/or community trainers. This is also an opportunity for current implementers and trainers to recertify and enhance their skills.

CATCH CEC is designed for children ages 3-5 and consists of physical activity, an introduction to classroom-based gardening and nutrition, and encourages healthy eating.

This training will be offered in two locations.

The schedule is as follows:

Implementer Training: Tuesday, December 10

Community Trainer Training: Tuesday-Thursday, December 10-12, 2024

Locations: Riverside, CA and Ukiah, CA

Implementation Training: Participants will learn how to successfully implement health and wellness programming in their schools or organizations. The implementation training is a full one-day training.  Participants are responsible for travel costs associated with this training, and lunch is not provided.

Community Trainer Training: Participants who want to train others in their community in CATCH programming can attend the three-day trainer academy option. Here, you will learn how to successfully implement health and wellness programming and teaching strategies to host your own training. Attendees who pass a certification test at the end of this training will be certified CATCH Community Trainers and can conduct CATCH professional development training within their districts, organizations, and regions. This training will be held on December 10–12; participants must attend all three days. Participants are responsible for travel costs associated with this training, and lunch is not provided.
