SNAP-Ed Curriculum Rubric

Updated on:

The SNAP-Ed Curriculum Rubric is an equity-centered evaluation tool designed to help implementers assess community nutrition curricula, instructor guides, and participant materials. Developed by the Curriculum, Training and Websites (CTW) team in collaboration with Leah’s Pantry, this framework evaluates programs across ecological factors, instructional design, facilitator support, and multi-level community impact. It guides educators in selecting and adapting evidence-based programming that honors participants' lived experiences, respects cultural foodways, and addresses systemic barriers to health.

Note: This rubric has since been updated and expanded into our new Nutrition & Wellness Education Review Framework, featuring interactive fillable scoring, strategic action planning, and broader application across workshops, agency programs, and curriculum design. While the original rubric was tailored for SNAP-Ed implementers, this updated framework is built for everyone across any nutrition and wellness program.
