Food Smarts for College Students

Food Smarts for College Students is an adaptation of Food Smarts, an interactive, learner-centered nutrition curriculum and was created with input from college students.

This curriculum recognizes the unique challenges and opportunities college students encounter when planning and preparing meals. The goal is to support college-age young adults to develop skills for their busy lives and growing independence. Lessons are designed to build nutrition and food literacy and confidence and are aligned with trauma-informed principles and the most recent Dietary Guidelines. There are eight 60-minute lessons that can be taught by trained facilitators as a series or single sessions in settings with or without a kitchen.
