SNAP-Ed Connection

This curriculum is part of the USDA’s national SNAP-Ed Connection—a one-stop shop for organizations committed to improving nutritional health in their communities.
Description
Las lecciones se enseñan 3 veces por semana durante 12 o 24 semanas; 3 sesiones por lección de un entrenador mentor capacitado. El plan de estudios de K-8º grado presenta fútbol a los niños, al tiempo que les proporciona a ellos y a sus familias las herramientas que necesitan para tomar decisiones saludables de estilo de vida. El programa apoya a los niños en mejorar su salud física, aumentar su conocimiento sobre estilos de vida saludables y mejorar su autoestima y comportamiento. El modelo de programa Snap-Ed Soccer for Success se basa en cinco componentes centrales: actividad física, salud y bienestar, tutoría, participación comunitaria y espacios seguros.

Intended audience: Dads and male caregivers of young children
Available: Fall 2025
An adaptation of the Around the Table Curriculum to meet the needs of single, married, custodial, and non-custodial fathers.

Around the Table with Elders
This is a group nutrition workshop curriculum for older adults that upholds principles of trauma-informed engagement and nourishment. Adults aged 65 and over will enjoy conversation, reflection, cooking, movement, sharing a meal together, and exploration of holistic skills for nutritional well-being.
Intended audience: Adults ages 60+
Available: Summer 2025
